Sunset Wave

Acrylic & Mixed Media
6” x 6” x 1.5”
My artistic practice grew alongside my career in the high-tech industry, gradually evolving into a deep love for abstract mixed media. What began with experimenting with paint and mixed media developed into a passion for texture, found objects, and intuitive expression. Each piece begins with an idea and unfolds organically from there.
I am drawn to abstract, colorful work that communicates emotion through color, texture, and movement. Much of my work incorporates upcycled and found objects, transforming discarded materials into elements of my design. Many of my pieces incorporate unexpected materials—weathered metal, natural textures, and fragments of reclaimed objects—layered to create depth, movement, and energy within the work. I tend to experience the world through an artistic lens—color, texture, and form revealing unexpected possibilities that often find their way into my work.
Living in Northern California after growing up near the coast of Southern California, I carry a lifelong connection to natural landscapes. The textures, movement, and colors of sand, water, mountains, and earth often find their way into my work, influencing both my palette and the layered surfaces I create. That connection to the outdoors continues to shape my process, informing the materials I choose and the sense of movement that emerges in each piece.
