Artist Biography:
Arlette Stella’s work is characterized by bold colors even though she is mainly color blind. Her philosophical nature blends with her immense imagination to form the basis for her work that is self-taught. Every work is the result of a conversation she has with canvas, paints and colors. Arlette Stella works predominately in acrylic paint. She also experiments with gouache, acrylic ink, pen, pencil, molding pastes and more. Each work aims to inspire you to experience and act on your kindness that is within. As Arlette declares: Kindness is my brand! Arlette Stella is an artist member of San Diego Artist Guild of the San Diego Museum and Artist Guild of Palm Springs/Palm Desert, among other groups.
Artist Statement: I am a late-blooming, self-taught artist. Each work evokes the juncture between the yearning for and the reality of kindness. Every piece expresses my boundless imagination infused with a deeply philosophical and abstract nature. Whether you label this surreal, expressionist or abstract, the message stays the same: Be the Kindness.
