The Beauty of Pause

$3,000.00

by Natalia Kutova

Acrylic on Canvas

30” x 15”

$3,000

The Beauty of Pause" is a textural painting that captures a moment of serene stillness in nature, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the quiet power of nature’s tranquil pulse, reminding about importance of presence, of savoring beauty in simplicity, and of rediscovering life in quiet moments. This original artwork is created with acrylic paint thickened with acrylic gel. The texture adds a three-dimensional quality, inviting the viewer to reach out and touch the sublime surface. The edges are painted, and the canvas is gallery wrapped, so no frame is required. This delightful piece of art will bring good vibes to any room. Its nature subject and abstract style make it a versatile addition to any art collection.

Artist Biography:

Natalia Kutova is a Ukrainian-born, self-taught artist based in San Diego, California. Her artistic journey is quite inspiring, as she transitioned from being a scholar and educator to a celebrated artist. Born and raised in Ukraine, Natalia moved to the United States in 2006 as a Fulbright scholar. She has a multifaceted background with degrees in Music, Linguistics, and Education. Natalia's journey into the realm of art began unexpectedly in 2017. Inspired by the textured impasto paintings she encountered in a local art salon, Natalia realized that she also wanted to paint like that. This moment marked the beginning of a transformative journey. Leaving her established teaching career behind, Natalia fully committed to her newfound passion for painting, transforming her life into one devoted to art. Natalia’s transition from academia to the art world embodies the courage to begin a new journey towards success, inspiring others to take bold steps toward their own aspirations.

Artist Statement:

I wield a palette knife and acrylics to sculpt impasto masterpieces, relentlessly exploring the bounds of the impasto technique and seeking to infuse my paintings with a tactile three-dimensional effect to achieve more visual intensity in conveying certain meaning. The main subject of my painting is flowers and trees which are extrapolated from the reality and reconceptualized in my painting to the level of visual metaphors, expressing a wide variety of ideas, thoughts, and feelings. Instead of striving for exact representation, I try to imbue these natural forms with profound meaning, allowing for a diverse array of interpretations. Marked by a technique that entails the creation of heavily textured and almost sculptural masterpieces, my art possesses an unmistakable uniqueness. It is in this fusion of technique, subject matter, and intention, that I endeavor to evoke, a powerful and lasting impact upon all who encounter my artistic creations.
