BIO: Vernon is a newcomer to the world of physical art having previously been involved in other artistic endeavors (music and dance). In 2022 he began to use exotic live edge woods with acrylic painting and epoxy resin to create mixed media art. His goal is to create pieces that are beautiful and also oftentimes functional.
PERSONAL STATEMENT: I love unique exotic woods with highly figured grain action and vibrant colors. Exotic woods are rare and expensive so my challenge is to use small reclaimed remnants and create pieces that show the wood’s beauty and evoke an emotional response.
