About James
I was an architect for 43 years and upon retirement I started creating drawings in colored pencil- it was a natural since I used that medium in my work as an architect. I create drawings from photos I have taken, any subject that is compositionally interesting and maybe has a little edge to it. I am not interested in nostalgia.
I have been doing art on and off for my entire life. Art is something I enjoy, and it keeps me busy in retirement. I enjoy visiting art museums, art galleries, etc. to get inspiration. I strive to have people see my artwork and hopefully enjoy it.
