I reside in Long Beach, California. I am originally from Minnesota where I earned my MFA from the University of Minnesota.

Artist Statement:
For me, abstract painting is the most authentic and expansive form of expression. It allows me to explore my thoughts, feelings, intuition and playfulness without constraint. Color is central to my work-it carries emotion, establishes rhythm, and shapes atmosphere. Texture, line, and form build layers of movement and energy which invites the viewer into a personal encounter with my work. I am less interested in representation than in response-by translating what remains emotionally and intuitively after an experience.
