Statement:
I have found in art a universal voice that transcends cultural and geographical barriers. Since 1985, my palette has evolved to reflect the vibrant hues of my native Brazil, with vivid and contrasting colors that are the hallmark of my work. But beyond natural beauty, I also find inspiration in music and musical instruments, whose shapes and “sounds” are reflected in many of my artwork. This statement reflects my story as an artist and as a human being. It is a declaration of my commitment to creating art that not only delights the senses but also moves the soul and provokes reflection through time and culture.
Biography:
As a visual artist, his journey has been a constant exploration of the intersection between human emotion and visual expression. He was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1965 and moved to the USA in 2014. He finds inspiration in music and musical instruments, whose shapes and “sounds” are reflected in many of his artwork.
