Bio: Chicago born artist, SupremeGrim is a Postmodern surrealist painter working in Tucson, AZ. where he harnesses the cultural collide of the city and the abundant nature to tell highly detailed and visually impactful stories within his boldly contorting works. His artworks are straight forward in approach using striking poses and a persistent and masterful use of emphasis to position his assortment of characters built from tangled vegetation seen in the Saguaro's that grace the mountains of the region. Supreme’s focus lies in his internal spiritual journey that connects with the natural elements that surround us.

Statement: I am inspired to make what hasn't quite been seen, and my biggest inspiration for this is nature because it constantly shows something new. However, when I say nature, I also mean us, human beings, to be specific. My work lives in-between our connection to nature and the human ego that tries to live beyond it. Within my work are portraits of spirits, manifested as Humans grown from Saguaro vines, quite literally intertwining our mortal and divine selves. My work has taken me to the desert wonders of Tucson, AZ where the atmosphere vibrates similar to the paintings I make.
